Dipti Mathur
Dipti Mathur is biochemist turned collector of contemporary South Asian art. She has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and has performed post-doctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has served on the Board of Trustees of the Seattle Art Museum, the Collections Committee of the Asia Society Museum, New York, and the Contemporary Art Advisory Panel of the San Francisco Asian Art Museum. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the San Jose Museum of Art, and is a founding member of the Asian Contemporary Art Consortium, San Francisco.
Dipti lives in California with her husband Rakesh, their twelve-year old daughter, Ila, and German Shepherd, Alexander.
