It is a historic year for India as it holds the G20 presidency, which provides an opportunity for it to influence global discourse and promote cooperation around several of the pressing issues of our times like climate change, terrorism and economic inequality, among others. Believing this to be the most opportune moment to begin a dialogue around the Indian diaspora and its contributions, Indiaspora is organising a three-day forum, the Indiaspora G20 Forum, which will focus on discussions around a variety of tracks such as foreign policy, financial inclusion, climate change, gender, healthcare, and others.
The three-day program will feature both plenary and breakout sessions, networking breaks and a cultural evening. The speakers will be drawn from various fields and will include government officials and policymakers, businesspersons and entrepreneurs, sportspersons, artists and activists. Panels of experts will deliberate upon important issues not limited to the Indian diaspora.
The invitees will include Indiaspora members, government functionaries, philanthropists, students and anyone who is interested in understanding the multifaceted issues surrounding the present and future of the Indian diaspora, a community that is growing in influence and stature worldwide, and their consequent influence on India’s growth and development.
