Suresh Krishna

Suresh Krishna is President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Northern Tool + Equipment (NTE); a leading retailer and manufacturer of tools and equipment for the trades and DIY community. Krishna joined Northern Tool + Equipment in April 2020 after five years as a member of the Board. His entrepreneurial leadership and innovation skills have helped propel the next phase of growth for NTE. Krishna has led the organization to record revenue, EBITDA and customer growth in a short 2 years. Krishna’s approach to business is forward looking, results oriented and decisive, with an emphasis on speed in execution to maximize Northern’s relevance to customers.
Prior to joining NTE, Krishna held senior leadership roles at leading global companies including Polaris, United Technologies, Diageo, and Sleep Number. He has vast experience in driving innovation, implementing digital transformation, building flexible supply chains, leading mergers and acquisitions and global expansions. Krishna’s broad and strategic mindset and ability to drive transformative change position him to help Northern achieve its potential. Krishna to serves on several company and industry boards. In addition to the board of NTE, he is on the board of Andersen Corp (The largest Window / Door manufacturer in the US).
He is also on the board of National retail federation (NRF) that represents the voice of the 16000+ retailers in the retail industry. He is a member of the Global advisory board of Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a member of the Advisory board of the Carlson School of management at the University of Minnesota. Krishna holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli India.
