Sreekumar Nair

CEO-India

Sreekumar Nair is the CEO-India of Indiaspora. He joined Indiaspora in March 2022 and is responsible for its India operations. Prior to this, he worked for 25 years in the International Department of CII, India’s premier business association which works closely with government
on policy issues, and with the industry in enhancing efficiency and building competitiveness. As CII’s Chief Relationship Officer – International, his scope of work encompassed charting issues related to India’s economic relations, evaluating trends in trade and commerce and investment linkages, strategizing the framework for bilateral business cooperation, keeping a strong watch on evolving businesses, policy and political climate, writing papers on business strategy for the Region, facilitating interaction with businesses, working closely with senior government officials, think tanks, other business institutions, and anchoring strategy meetings with stakeholders on a domestic and international scale. He has travelled extensively across the world and has served as the CII representative in USA and Singapore. He has been to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting at Davos several times to organise business events and other cultural activities in partnership with Government of India and industry stakeholders.

He is a sports enthusiast and is an avid badminton player and cyclist. His other passions include music, reading, trekking, and closely following football (soccer), badminton and tennis tournaments. He speaks English, Russian, Hindi and Malayalam (mother-tongue) fluently.
