Rajeev has over 35 years of global operating and investing experience in the U.S., Asia and Europe.
Prior to the merger of Basil Partners and Capital Square Partners, Rajeev founded Basil Partners as a Family Office in 2008 which has invested into IT/ITES sector and then raised a 171M Institutional Fund in 2018. In 2022 Basil Partners merged with Capital Square Partners to raise a 700M technology services focussed fund.
Prior to Basil Partners, Rajeev was the Founder-CEO of Apar Infotech Corp into a USD 78m Enterprise Value company between 1996 and 2003. He raised two rounds of capital from Insight Capital and Warburg Pincus Ventures and guided Apar through a merger with Ness Technologies, Inc. and was an active Board Member to listing on Nasdaqin 2004.
Rajeev possesses a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a Masters in Management Studies from Bombay University.
Mr. Srivastava was actively involved since inception in the "Mid-day Meal" program (http://annamrita.org) in Mumbai, that provides nutritious food to school children all over India through its 22 kitchens. An initiative kicked off in 2004 with 26,000 children has grown to over serving 1.2 million children daily. Annamrita has been a recipient of several prestigious awards such as the Unilever Lifebuoy Award, RM Bajaj Award, FSSAI award, CII award etc.
Mr. Srivastava has also been actively involved with Govardhan Ecovillage (https://ecovillage.org.in/) - a gorgeous Yoga and Ayurveda retreat 2 hours drive from Mumbai. Govardhan Ecovillage is working with over 78 tribal villages in Palghar for their social, economic and ecological upliftment. Govardhan Ecovillage has been consistently recognized at numerous international and national conferences and environment forums, including United Nation's UNWTO #1 award in 2017 for excellence in Innovation & Tourism (NGO).
Mr. Srivastava is also the Co-Founder of Artha Forum (www.arthaforum.com) - an initiative that aims to take Vedic teachings into the Business world and guide entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders to applying the principle of "Earn With Integrity, Spend With Compassion". Artha forum has conducted events (always with Spiritual & Business leaders) as speakers, all over the world, including California, New York, London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and India and has inspired several entrepreneurs to contribute a significant part (10% to 50%) of their equity to charity (e.g. Nityo Infotech & RNS Technologies, Gradiant Technologies.
