Sujay Tyle

Venture Partner, Balderton Capital

Sujay is a Venture Partner at Balderton where he advises various portfolio companies and the Balderton investment team on marketplace, fintech, and consumer-facing strategies.

Prior, Sujay was the Co-founder and Global CEO of Frontier Car Group (FCG) – a Berlin-HQ’d used cars automotive marketplace operating in 14 developed and emerging markets. FCG raised approximately $300M from Balderton, TPG Growth, Partech, and Naspers, and was acquired by OLX/Naspers in December 2019 for ~$700M in an all-cash deal. Prior, he was on the founding team of Hired.com, an online recruiting marketplace, as the COO. Hired now operates in the USA, Australia, and France. Sujay was one of the first Thiel 20 under 20 fellows and was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list. He was named to the Goldman Sachs’ Top 100 Intriguing Entrepreneurs List in 2018 and 2019.

Sujay sits on the board of Gideon’s Promise, a US-based non-profit dedicated to transforming the criminal justice system by properly training the next generation of public defenders. Sujay attended Harvard College, Harvard Law School, and Harvard Business School.
