Bunty Chand served as Chief Executive Officer of Asia Society India from 2006 to 2020. Founded in 1956, Asia Society is the leading educational organization dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders, and institutions of Asia and the United States. Asia Society India was launched in 2006 under the leadership of Ms. Chand.  As CEO, Ms. Chand played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing Asia Society’s strategy in India and building a sustainable funding model for the organization. Asia Society India convened over 800 programs in Mumbai and Delhi. She developed a large network of relationships with corporates, national and international organizations, including educational organizations, think tanks, NGO’s, museums, cultural organizations and key figures in India and elsewhere in Asia and the US, as necessary to further Asia Society’s mission.

She spent ten years with AT&T in USA and Hong Kong in the areas of Strategy & Business Development, Human Resources, Sales and Training & Development. She worked as a teacher with the International Catholic Migration Commission at a refugee camp in the Philippines.

Ms. Chand is committed to education, inclusion and social enterprise. She serves on the Advisory Board for Perkins India, which supports children with multiple disabilities and visual impairment. She continues to support numerous Arts and Educational initiatives in India.

She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from George Washington University, USA, Master’s in Special Education from Florida Atlantic University, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Education and History from Jamia Millia & Delhi University. She has lived and worked in India, USA, Philippines and Hong Kong.
