Country Head - Australia

Jai is Head of KPMG Australia’s India Business Practice (IBP) which is a part of the firm’s broader Asia & International Markets (AIM) group. The IBP is a strategic and increasingly important focus for AIM. 

Jai’s is a full-time senior role with responsibility for developing and implementing the firm’s business strategy to facilitate and support the bilateral trade & investment flows between Australia and India (the Corridor); leveraging the firm’s expertise; and working shoulder to shoulder with approximately 1,000 Partners across KPMG Australia and KPMG India.

Since taking on this role in 2015 Jai has implemented a vision and demonstrated strong leadership to grow the IBP nationally and has more than doubled revenues with Indian corporates operating in Australia. Jai visits India on a periodic basis to meet with clients amongst other key Corridor stakeholders and has successfully originated new and incremental business for KPMG over the past 7 years. Jai has consistently demonstrated strong performance (by KPMG’s high standards) throughout this period. 

Born and raised in Australia Jai has been an active member of the Indian community in Sydney (NSW) more broadly. Jai is a well-established Indian musician/singer and has leveraged his talent since a young age to promote Indian culture across public and private events, including funding raising initiatives. During the pandemic period Jai’s singing (via online mediums) has been extremely well received and recognized by Indian business executives in Australia and India. Jai proposes to share his music more widely in private and public forums in 2022 and beyond to showcase and promote Indian music and culture.
